I’m Here!!!!
First post from Prague! I arrived here in Prague late afternoon Saturday after flying all night and I have to say, this city is incredible! Even when you’re flying in, you can see how different the houses and towns are from anything you would find in the US. The only real hold-up I’ve had so far since arriving is that I don’t have internet yet in my dorm (I have to wait until Tuesday to get a username and password from Charles University =( ). Anyways, so far things have been great. Yesterday, we did a little sightseeing and I’ve already taken a bunch of pictures of the city and its architecture. In a lot of the sightseeing parts of town, most people speak English or are tourists and groups from all over the world; so it’s pretty easy to get around in these parts. It is kind of hard being able to communicate with people that live and work around the dorms. Many of them don’t speak English or don’t speak much of it. I’ve already gotten into an argument with the night desk worker for our room assignments since she put 3 people in one room and 1 in the other. It doesn’t help though when were each yelling at each other in different languages haha. My room is pretty nice though. Everything works in it and I’ve got running water so I can’t complain =) I can already tell that the night life here is going to be sweet! There are clubs and bars basically on every corner so I can’t go wrong and there will I’m sure be some good stories to come. I’ve already had a few good beer and mixed drinks and I think I’m gonna get pretty use to beer since its cheaper than coke =) Gotta run though now, I’m at a Starbucks in a mall and still have some more stuff I wanna see today. I’ll upload some pics later.
